Inductions

The Inductions module delivers health & safety and site inductions to the people working your event. You build induction forms with videos, slides, and quizzes, target them at groups and/or pass types, and people complete them from their phone before arriving on site. Completion is tracked per person, per form.

Key concepts

TermMeaning
Induction FormA course made of content blocks (video, slideshow, quiz, inputs…).
EligibilityWho must complete a form — driven by Groups and/or a Pass type filter, not manual enrolment. People become eligible automatically when they match.
Access codeA personal 4-digit code a person enters to open their induction checklist.
DeadlineAn optional due date per form, driving Due soon / Overdue statuses.

Creating an induction

Inductions → Induction Forms → Add Induction:

  1. Set the Induction Name.
  2. Choose the Groups that must complete it.
  3. Optionally set a Deadline.
  4. Pick the Completed induction email sent when someone finishes.
  5. Optionally enable Anonymous responses (Pro).
  6. Toggle Published — drafts stay hidden from attendees until you’re ready.

Building the form

The editor has Form and Configuration tabs. In the form builder, add blocks from the palette:

BlockWhat it does
VideoUpload a file or embed YouTube/Vimeo.
SlideshowSlides with optional autoplay.
QuizQuestions to confirm understanding; scores are recorded.
DisplayRich text content.
InputCollect text, numbers, email, dates, or times.
OptionsCheckboxes, radio buttons, or dropdowns.
FileAsk the person to upload a document.
HeadshotCapture a photo.

In Configuration you can also add a Pass type filter (or No pass filter — use groups only) to narrow eligibility to holders of specific pass types.

Deleting a form requires typing DELETE — responses go with it.

Who gets invited, and when

Eligibility comes from the form’s groups and pass type filters — as people are added to accreditation and matched, they become eligible automatically.

When invites are emailed is set in Inductions → Settings → Email Configuration:

  • Do not send induction emails
  • Send when person is added to system
  • Send when first pass is approved

Per group, Group Settings chooses the Email Template used (or Do Not Send Email) and the Info Page shown in the team portal (default: Induction Information).

You can also Resend induction to all pending people in one go (Pro).

The attendee experience

  1. The person receives an email link, or scans the shared QR code, landing on the Induction Access page — “Complete your inductions quickly from your phone.”
  2. They enter their personal 4-digit access code and press Continue.
  3. Their induction hub lists every form they’re eligible for, marked Completed or Not Submitted, with Start Induction / View Submission actions.
  4. They work through the blocks — watch the video, complete the quiz — and press Complete Induction.
  5. If a completed-induction email is configured, they receive confirmation.

The same portal can also show the person their information pages, document library, news, and their Accreditation QR code (“Show this QR code at accreditation to collect your pass”) with wallet passes if enabled.

Access codes and the QR page

From Inductions → Overview:

  • The QR Access card gives you the public access page — Open Page, Copy Link, or Share QR to display a printable “Scan to start your inductions” poster on site.
  • Issue Access Codes manages each person’s 4-digit code: Generate, Regenerate, Copy, or Revoke.

Tracking completion

Overview

The Completion Overview shows Eligible, Completed, Pending, the completion rate, and active codes. The Induction Progress table lists each form with its deadline and completion count, flagged Complete, In progress, Due soon, or Overdue.

Responses

Inductions → Responses drills into each form: every person’s status (Completed, Submitted, Not Complete, or Globally Exempt), submission time, and quiz score. From here you can:

  • View Answers for any submission.
  • Resend the invite to an individual, or Resend to Pending People in bulk (Pro).
  • Download all answers.

Note: inductions are tracked and chased via deadlines and emails, but the system does not block pass approval or collection for incomplete inductions — enforcement on site is an operational decision.

Team portal

Team contacts see an H&S Inductions section in their portal showing their people’s induction status, so they can chase their own crew before show days.
